What the extension can and cannot do

The match score never calls an AI model
It is a deterministic keyword overlap between your saved CV and the ad. No OpenAI call, no model of any kind.
Your CV is never uploaded by the extension
Only the job ad text is sent, to be scored. Your CV is read on our side from the document you already saved.
The ad text is used and dropped
Scoring writes nothing to the database. The only thing stored is a short-lived rate-limit counter.
The page you are on learns nothing
The panel talks only to TalentVP, and LinkedIn, Xing and StepStone are told nothing. Chrome gives the extension access only to the job sites and career-page platforms listed above (Xing only if you allow it yourself in Chrome's settings), never to every site. Anywhere else it reads just the text you select.

- Which job sites does it work on?
- LinkedIn job pages and StepStone work automatically. Xing is off by default and the extension never asks for it: give TalentVP access to xing.com in Chrome's extension settings and it works there from your next browser start. It also reads company career pages that publish the posting as structured data, such as Personio, Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, SmartRecruiters and join.com. And on any other site, you can select the ad text, right-click and choose "Check with TalentVP" to score it.
- Is it free?
- Installing is free and the match score consumes no credits. You do need a free TalentVP account with a saved CV, because the score compares the ad against that CV.
- Does it work without an account?
- You can install it without one, but the score cannot be produced without a saved CV to compare against, so the panel will ask you to sign in.
- What data leaves my browser?
- The text of the job ad you are looking at, sent to produce the score. Your CV is not uploaded — it is read on our side from the document you saved. The ad text is not stored.
- Where does the salary figure come from?
- From the statistics of the Bundesagentur für Arbeit, the tables "Entgelte nach Berufen", as of 12/2024. The panel shows the median for full-time employees in the occupational group and names the source. It covers German occupational groups, so a salary line will not appear for every role.
