Which tool should I start with?

Start with the CV Builder if you need to create or update your CV. Use the ATS Check to score your existing CV in 30 seconds, no login required. Go to Interview Prep if you have an upcoming interview. Use the Profile Optimizer for LinkedIn if you want to attract more recruiter attention. All three tools work together, your CV data is shared across the platform.

Do I need any special equipment?

The CV Builder and Profile Optimizer for LinkedIn require only a browser. For voice-based interview practice, your device needs a working microphone. No downloads or installations are needed.

What can I do with the TalentVP CV Builder?

The CV Builder lets you create CVs from 150+ professional templates. Upload an existing CV for instant analysis, tailor it to a specific job description, get an ATS compatibility score, and export to PDF. The AI rewrites and improves your bullet points automatically.

Can I upload my existing CV?

Yes. Upload your PDF or DOCX file and TalentVP will parse it, analyze the content, and give you an ATS readiness score. You can then edit it directly in the builder and export the improved version.

What is ATS and why does it matter?

ATS (Applicant Tracking System) is software used by most companies to filter CVs automatically before a human sees them. A poorly formatted CV can be rejected before the hiring manager reads it. TalentVP's free ATS Check scores your CV and shows you exactly what to fix, no login required.

How many CV templates are available?

TalentVP offers 150+ professional templates covering tech, finance, marketing, and other sectors, in single-column, double-column, modern, and minimal styles. All templates are ATS-compatible and print-ready.

What does the Profile Optimizer for LinkedIn analyze?

The Profile Optimizer for LinkedIn evaluates 8 key sections: headline, summary, experience, skills, education, recommendations, connections, and activity. Each section receives a score and specific recommendations to increase your visibility to recruiters.

Do I need to give TalentVP access to my LinkedIn account?

No. Paste your LinkedIn profile URL and TalentVP will analyze your public profile. No LinkedIn login or data sharing is required.

How is the LinkedIn score calculated?

Your score is calculated across 8 weighted sections. A complete, keyword-rich headline and summary have the highest impact. TalentVP's AI compares your profile against top-performing profiles in your target role and identifies specific gaps to close.

How do I start a practice interview?

Go to Interview Prep from the dashboard and choose a mode: Practice (general questions for your role), From my CV (AI reads your CV and asks experience-based questions), or Job Match (paste a job description for targeted questions). Select difficulty, language, and click Start Interview.

How many questions are in each session?

A typical session has 5–10 questions depending on mode and difficulty. You can pause and resume sessions. All sessions are saved in My Interviews for later review.

What kind of feedback do I get?

After each answer, TalentVP scores you on STAR structure (Situation, Task, Action, Result), clarity, specificity, and relevance. Free accounts get a summary score. Pro accounts get detailed coaching notes and suggested improvements for every answer.

Can I review my past interview sessions?

Yes. Go to My Interviews in your dashboard to review all completed sessions, including your answers, scores, and AI feedback. Pro users can access full coaching transcripts.

Is TalentVP free to use?

Yes. TalentVP's free tier includes a limited number of interview practice sessions, a free ATS Check (no login required), and access to CV templates. No credit card required to start. Paid plans unlock up to 15 mock interviews a month, all 150+ templates, and full LinkedIn analysis. Our most advanced AI coaching comes with the 3 month bundle and the monthly and yearly plans.

What is the difference between the CV Builder and Interview Prep plans?

Both plans include cross-product access: a CV Builder subscription also gives you free interview sessions, and an Interview Prep subscription gives you free CV Builder access. You only need one plan to use all of TalentVP. See the Pricing page for the full feature comparison.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. Cancel anytime from your account settings, your plan stays active until the end of the billing period. There are no cancellation fees.

How do I create an account?

Creating an account is simple! Click on the 'Sign Up' button in the top right corner of our homepage. You can sign up using your email address or your Google account for faster access.

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

If you forgot your password, use the magic link sign-in option instead. Simply enter your email address and we'll send you a secure link to access your account.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your account at any time. Go to Account Management from your dashboard menu, scroll to the bottom to find the 'Danger Zone' section, and click on 'Delete Account'. Please note that this action is permanent and will delete all your data from our system.

My microphone isn't working during voice recording. What should I do?

First, ensure your browser has permission to access your microphone. Check this in your browser settings. Also, make sure no other applications are using your microphone. If the problem persists, try using a different browser or device.

The website is loading slowly. How can I fix this?

Slow loading can be caused by a poor internet connection or browser issues. Try refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or switching to a different browser. If problems persist, contact our support team.

I'm having trouble generating interview questions. What's wrong?

If you're having trouble generating questions, try being more specific with your job title or skills. Also, check your internet connection as our AI requires a stable connection to generate questions. If the issue continues, please contact our support team.

Is my CV or interview data used to train AI models?

No. Your CV and interview data are never used to train AI models. We enforce Zero Data Retention (ZDR) with our AI provider: your data is processed and immediately discarded, never stored on their servers.

How is my personal data protected during AI processing?

Your email address, phone number, postal address, profile links and a stated date of birth are taken out of your CV before it is sent to the AI, on every path that reads or rewrites it. They are written back from the document afterwards, so nothing is lost. Your AI provider also keeps nothing: every request runs under Zero Data Retention.

Is TalentVP GDPR compliant?

Yes. We operate under EU Standard Contractual Clauses with OpenAI Ireland Ltd. and maintain a full Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA), Transfer Impact Assessment, and AI Act Technical File. Your data is stored in the EU, and our AI provider keeps nothing: every request runs under Zero Data Retention.

How is AI fairness ensured?

We test our AI with pairs of identical CVs that differ in only one detail: age, gender, ethnicity, nationality or the origin of the name. Each pair is scored in five tasks, including CV analysis, job match and interview feedback. If the two scores differ by more than 10 points, the test fails. Every run is saved.

Where can I find the full compliance documentation?

Our compliance documentation, including the Data Protection Impact Assessment and Transfer Impact Assessment, is maintained and provided on request.
